The kids on Pete’s courses have done the “front foot/straight drive with bobble feed” drill with him a few times. Pete is really pleased to now be able to show them that this is a drill that YORKSHIRE players do too. Opening batter Alex Lees is doing the drill here which has just been posted on.

Anyone who has known Pete for a while knows how proud he gets when youngsters that he has coached do well. This is Upperthong Cricket Club under 17s who won Huddersfield Junior League’s Philip Oldfield Cup in a tense final over finish on Monday. Pete coached nine of them several years ago.
Pete had a fabulous week working for the Andrew Flintoff Cricket Academy. The ground staff there are so helpful and cut a strip and the rest of this pitch (with stripes both ways!) for the children to play a match on. Pete did not know who was more excited, him.

Pete worked this spring and summer for the first time with Alverton Community Primary School in Northallerton. He worked for 5 sessions with each of two different classes, ran an after school club and helped choose the squad for the annual inter school Kwik Cricket competition. Pete then ran a special.
