Delighted with Feedback from Alverton Community Primary School, Northallerton
Pete worked this spring and summer for the first time with Alverton Community Primary School in Northallerton. He worked for 5 sessions with each of two different classes, ran an after school club and helped choose the squad for the annual inter school Kwik Cricket competition. Pete then ran a special tournament related session for the players chosen to be in the squad.
Several of the players had asked Pete if he would be able to go along and watch them in the tournament and, with the school more than happy for Pete to do so, he attended the tournament and watched some of the games. Pete was delighted to see how well they performed on the back of just one session each of batting, bowling and catching. It was fabulous to see their energy, enthusiasm and the enjoyment they were having – even more so as none of the players are members of a cricket club, so that for many of them their first experience of cricket was Pete’s first session.
The school were also very pleased, with Pete receiving the following e-mail comments from Teacher and PE Co-ordinator Louise Cuthbert:
“It has been great! Both children and staff have enjoyed having you in! When I came in on Monday the session was fab! The children were all engaged and the way you are with the children was lovely to see! Thank you.”
