An unbeaten century for the Huddersfield Lord’s Taverners Under 15 team by Ben, who I coached for the first three years of his cricket career. Ben’s Mum sent me a text to tell me. I was thrilled. He works so hard at his game.
Catching drill involving Pete throwing a ball onto the orange Katchet board. The board deflects the ball in an unpredictable yet realistic fashion to help improve catching ability, technique and reflexes.
Fantastic surroundings and an amazing pavilion at Ampleforth College, York for an excellent week of coaching.
Practicing the pull shot – some power in this one.
An enjoyable day had by all with some lovely parental feedback received,
An excellent junior cricket section run by this club, set in the beautiful village of Ripley just off the main road between Harrogate and Ripon. Pete throughly enjoyed his first season with them and they have said they would like him to coach with the junior section again next season.
All set for some front foot drive work off tees, which were followed by some drop feeds as their skills developed.
All set for a game of 3 tees cricket (albeit with two batters so I guess I should call it 6 tees cricket) at Carlton Miniott Primary School, Thirsk. The children loved this game!
A lovely day for coaching at Upperthong CC where I have spent so much time. A beautiful setting high in the hills above Holmfirth in West Yorkshire.
All set for some front foot drive work for a class of around 25 children, followed by a game which they seemed to really enjoy.
